Dunhuang Dragon Lotus Incense Stick Holder Tray – A Blessing of Serenity and Symbolism
Inspired by the celestial motifs of ancient Dunhuang Mogao caves, this incense tray is a tribute to Chinese heritage and mythical beauty. Two majestic dragons swirl around a sacred lotus bloom, delicately embossed and hand-painted in vivid enamel hues. They appear mid-flight, guarding peace, ushering blessings, and dancing through clouds of incense smoke.
Made from durable alloy using advanced die-casting techniques, this piece resists wear, tarnish, and breakage. The surface boasts raised patterns that add texture and elegance to any space. Its three-part removable design makes cleaning simple while accommodating both stick and coil incense.
Perfect for tea ceremonies, meditation, or as a decorative statement in your study or living room, this incense tray holder is more than a tool—it’s a cultural treasure. Add a whisper of Dunhuang’s mythical charm to your life or gift it as a symbol of peace, beauty, and ancient protection.
Inspired by Mogao Cave No. 392 Ceiling – Lotus and Twin Dragon Pattern Caisson

Artists painted a treasure-appreciated floral motif on two layers of a lotus that occupies the center of the caisson ceiling. The sacred pearl rests on two dancing blue dragons twisting between flower petals. The dragon maintains its movements while spreading flowers and clouds throughout their flight patterns within the surrounding area. The slender dragons appear with slight mouth openness and extended four claws as though engaged in a playful competition for the sacred pearl. Studio Hanrahan creates a heavenly dragon aerial experience by portraying dragons flying with flowers and clouds in a sky scene.
